The future is Bright!

Today at School Assembly we were blessed, encouraged, inspired and entertained by our Speech Competition winners for 2015.

The morning was kick-started by Reuben Payn (Year 10) who powerfully presented his sermon on, “What My Generation Needs to Hear”. Next we heard passionate speeches about “Heroes of the Faith” by Zach Parratt (Year 8), Charli Crawford (Year 7), and Oscar Ironside (Year 6).

Our younger students then gave us insights into the people they love. Mariah Payn (Year 5) shared how she admires her Aunty Sharee; Chiara Willocks (Year 4) charmed us with beautiful gems about her dad, Richard; Natalia-Rose Armstrong (Year 3) delighted us with her joy and love for her friend, Janaé; and, last but not least, Gino Pauling (Year 2) had us in stitches with his hilarious and uplifting speech about his dad, Ross.

Two of our winners were absent today and we look forward to hearing from them in Term 4; Isabelle Managh (Year 9) and Felicia Megchelse (Year 0/1).
