Anzac Remembrance Ceremony

This morning our School participated in a very moving remembrance ceremony for ANZAC Day. We gathered together to place small national flags in the grass area in front of the Sanctuary. Wearing their poppies, the younger students looked on as our senior students then put in place several rows of white crosses denoting soldiers who had fallen during World War I. Teacher Jo played the Last Post and then we observed a minute’s silence. Principal Darrell then recited an Ode to the Fallen, and Shayla Wijohn-Gillard closed the ceremony with a powerful prayer of thanks, honour, and gratitude. We shall remember them.
