An Incredible Journey

Today the Year 7 class went to Hatfields Beach and Orewa Beach to end the school year with a Geography learning experience and some good old fun!

Teacher Shân took us on an incredible journey, showing the students things they have learned about this semester in class.  Erosion, cliffs, stacks, shore drifts, estuaries, rivers and headlands are just a few terms discussed and observed.

The class did fun experiments and explored life in the rock pools (A bit of Science thrown in too!)We ended the day at Orewa Beach with lunch and some games in the reserve.  What a fun day out in the sunshine!
